SHCP vs. Mitty.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it’s sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.”
Thought of the day? First things first - given the added bonus that it was senior night at SHCP, as well as Jenn singing the National Anthem, just made everything that much better. She sang beautifully and truly captivated everyone in the gymnasium (bottom-left image) with her lovely voice. Dorell Wright of the Golden State Warriors also happened to be at the game with his wife & son, as well as other members of his family, cheering on both teams, hence the image of the mob of students simply swarming around him during halftime (bottom-right image). Aaron Gordon (top image) performed superbly, scoring 28 points out of Mitty’s 58. Despite having a slow-ish start in the beginning, he really picked it up and showed why he was a nationally ranked player on both sides of the court. Of course, the Fightin’ Irish definitely gave it their all, and they deserve a huge amount of credit on a very entertaining evening, filled with lots of blood, sweat, and tears.
