D700 + 85/1.4. Once again, the cream machine manages to prevail over any other lens in my arsenal for portraiture. I can’t think of a moment where this lens disappoints me, because even mistakenly slightly out of focus images still manage to exhibit lovely bokeh swirls and the like. All I know is that it definitely wasn’t a slouch today and I can confidently let the photos from the set speak on my behalf.
